This #beautyfood smoothie and mask will get you going and keep you warm, all while feeding your skin both inside and out.


Powerful, deep green kale is the focal point here, for its high content of both vitamin C and A, boosting collagen and promoting renewal of cells. It gives you all the vitamin K you need in a day, while boosting your body’s intake of both iron and calcium. Nutrient dense spinach and chard are added to the blend, for their variety and richness of vitamins and minerals.

Spinach

Raw Spinach Leaves

Rich in Vitamin K, C, and A, spinach helps promote collagen production. This reduced the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while enhancing hydration. Plus, spinach is packed with antioxidants which are great for protecting your skin from free radicals.


*Pro-tip: want to up your intake of greens without sacrificing flavor? Then spinach is the way to go. It's flavor is extremely mild and goes unnoticed when blended, making it a perfect addition to any recipe!

Swiss Chard

A powerhouse of antioxidants and vitamins, not only is Swiss chard great for your skin, it's amazing for your body. Swiss chard stabalizes blood sugar, improves brain functioning, strengthens bones, and even have anti-cancer properties!

Ginger

Fresh Ginger Slices

Ginger is amazing at reducing inflammation both inside and out. It's also great for brightening dark spots and improving skin texture. Ginger has even been shown to reduce acne thanks to it's anti-inflammatory properties.

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk | beauty fats + vitamin E
  • 1 small organic apple, chopped | anti-aging vitamins + keeps skin clear
  • 1 small banana | vitamin B for skin plumping + fiber
  • 1 cup fresh spinach | antioxidants + vitamin C for collagen boosting
  • 2 large leaves lacinato kale, chopped | vitamin A for cell renewal
  • 2 leaves Swiss chard | Vitamins A, C. E + K for nourished and youthful skin
  • 1” piece ginger, peeled and chopped | promotes good digestion + immune boosting
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon | draws oxygen to the skin
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional) | detoxifying + stimulates digestion
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon | brightening + detoxifies
  • 1 teaspoon stevia, monkfruit, honey, or maple syrup to taste | non-refined natural sugar alternatives

Instructions :

  • Place all of the ingredients into a blender.
  • Blend at high speed for 1 minute, or until smooth.
  • Portion out 1 tbs of blended smoothie into a small bowl and set aside.
  • Pour the remaining portion into a glass + enjoy!

Portioned out smoothie
  • Grab the 1tbs of smoothie which was previously set aside.

  • Stir until combined.
  • Apply mask.
  • Massage the mask onto your skin in circular motions until evenly distributed.
  • Leave on skin for 15 minutes.
