Something you should know about me is that I am extremely passionate about nontoxic skincare. I am very particular about every product I use, both for my sensitive skin and for my health. This new mystery serum which I was about to try was Savor Beauty's Blue Tansy 2% Bakuchiol Serum.

The Blue Tansy Serum is available in two targeted formulas. The first formula, HEAL, is made for oily/sensitive skin and the second formula, REGENERATE, is made for normal/dry skin. Both of these formulas contain the same superpower duo of 2% Bakuchiol (a natural retinol alternative) and Blue Tansy Extract (a calming, redness reducing plant extract), however, they are each tailored slightly for a customizable fit depending on your skin type.

Since my skin is sensitive and my goal was to help my hormonal breakouts, my Blue Tansy Serum of choice is HEAL.

Since a retinol product with essential oils would normally send me running for the hills due to my sensitive skin, my initial excitement turned into nervousness as I stood in my bathroom about to try the Blue Tansy Serum for the first time. All I could think in my head was "I know it's a natural retinol alternative, but it's still going to hurt and turn me beat red".

I added one pump of the serum into my palm, put some on my finger and slowly brought it to my face. I gently dabbed it on the breakout that was brewing on my jawline, and paused, waiting for the stinging to start... But it never did.

I slowly gained more courage, and began applying the dry oil onto the rest of my face. There was no stinging, no redness, and no burning whatsoever. I had two initial impressions -

The morning after my 2nd use, I walked into my bathroom, turned on my lights and was immediately shocked. It hadn't even been a full 48 hours (~36) since I first tried the Blue Tansy Serum, and the difference was extremely noticeable.

My skin was visibly brighter, more hydrated, and my hormonal breakout (which would have normally take 1-2 weeks to go away) was almost completely out of sight. Plus some of my pesky scars that had been there for a decade, were much less visible than they were just 2 days earlier.

I have never had a product work so well and effectively for my skin, let alone so quickly! All I could think was "wow, if my skin looks like this now, what will it look like in another week or two?" I couldn't wait to share the results with Angela and the rest of the team, it was clear we had something extremely special on our hands.
